LYNCH CANYON
MIDDLE VALLEY

Trail Description: Our last visit was in the middle of a dry summer, but we still managed a few flowers (& thistles). While the water was higher at the reservoir this time, there were fewer reeds (perhaps all inundated), and while birds were still present, they seemed less numerous.

Most of the Buckeye and Willows were sprouting blooms, and even though the hills were  green, wildflowers were notably lacking. Perhaps in another month. Lunch was pleasant, as the Middle Valley Trail picnic table is set next to an old Oak with commanding valley views.
