LAND TRUST OF NAPA
ARCHER TAYLOR PRESERVE
June 26,
2008
Description:
The 380 acre Archer - Taylor Preserve contains some of the oldest stands of
redwoods in the county and the habitats range from redwood riparian to
grassy meadows.
We took the Devils Well trail which mostly follows Redwood Creek
along on it's eastern side. It's a lush deep
Redwood forested trail with abrupt elevation changes that go from about 1300 to 1650' in
just about a mile.
Trail Location:
the park is located at the end of Redwood Road, about 8 miles west of it's highway
29 intersection.
There are locked gates, so see the park page for
permission, codes and complete directions.
