RUSH CREEK

Home

Park Description:
This 500 acre park is located just minutes from highway 101 and Novato at the mouth of the Petaluma River.  Rescued from development largely by efforts of the Marin Audubon Society in 2003, it now encompasses one of the richest bird sanctuaries in the north bay. In addition, 200 of those acres are hilly oak woodlands that include miles of walking trails with views of the marshes.

Directions: From 101 near Novato, take Atherton Av. east for  about a mile to Bugeia Av. The park borders much of Bugeia's north side. The main gate is at the end of the road. From Vallejo, take 37 to Atherton Av. to Bugeia.
