OLOMPALI  STATE PARK

Home

Park Description: This 700 acre park was acquired by the state in 1977. Before the Europeans it was one of  the largest settlement areas of the Miwok Indians.
It shares a border with Mt. Burdell Open Space Preserve and one can hike from one park to the other via the 1558' Mt. Burdell.
There are really only 2 trails here, Miwok and Mt. Burdell. The grounds have preserved buildings from it's past history and are well worth a hour of exploring.

Directions: The park is located about half way between Novato and Petaluma with the entrance being only accessible from southbound 101 traffic.
