Trail/Park Description:
We took what is perhaps the best introductory hike to the park. From the Somersville Road parking lot, take the Nortonville Town site trail to the Cemetery, then complete the loop taking Black Diamond to Manhattan to Chaparral. This gives one a view of the Cemetery, surrounding country, a nice shaded canyon trail, and the mine area with it's visitor center.
